ABSTRACT
This module, which fits into an existing basic statistics
course, consists of classroom worksheets to be completed by the students
working in collaboration and using the TI-83 calculator.
The module enhances the course through increased use of
technology, structured small group activity in and out of the classroom,
and greater emphasis on oral and written work.
Through discussion and with readily available technology to do
tedious calculations, it is hoped that students have a greater
opportunity to grasp the basic ideas of statistics and to explore deeper
questions. |
