ABSTRACT
The intent of
this course is to provide students, who are Math Majors intending to
become secondary teachers, with an opportunity to explore the high
school mathematics curriculum from an advanced stand point.
Furthermore, it is the intent that students study mathematics in
a way that is consistent with the goals of the National Council of
Teachers of Mathematics as well as the Mathematics Framework of the
California. Methods of
instruction will include brief presentations by the instructor,
interactive group work, small group and individual investigations of
important mathematics.
